| There
is increasing public concern of the environment in which we live and
the effect it has on our health:
Is
the water safe to drink?
Could
my miscarriage be due to my work environment?
Are
the pesticides used on my produce going to give me cancer?
These
are a few of the many questions to which people seek concrete-definitive
answers. Unfortunately, answering these questions is not always
as easy as a yes or no. Over the past decade more and more information
has become available to provide some insight to the integral relationship
between the environment and health.
To
that end, the Marshall
University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine Division of Industrial,
Occupational, and Environmental Health and the West
Virginia Department of Environmental Protection have partnered
to compile adequate, appropriate information relative to environmental
risk and health.
